The most important thing I did was slip one of these units out of the package, and measure the current draw before returning it. Each unit was 150mA with about 13.2VDC supplied. So for both around 300mA X 13V is 3.9 watts total electrical consumption. Even at 100% efficiency, you can see where the light output was disappointing. The output pattern was nicely focused and the quality of the finish and mounts were decent. In my view, not worth the $80. I would say a fair price for the set would be more like $20-$25. If you want a lot of light, look elsewhere.
